• My wedding is in less than 3 months do you have dresses in stock?

Yes we do have a gowns available off the rack

• Is your showroom open?

Our showroom is open Thursday by appointment only, Friday from 10am to 3pm, Saturday from 9:30am to 3pm and Sunday 9am to 12pm

• Do I need an appointment?

No, you do not need an appointment to come to our showroom or to try on. Appointments are available if you would like dedicated time with our stylists.

• What is the price range of your gowns?

Our bridesmaid gowns are priced from $285, and our bridal wear from $450

• Do you make custom dresses?

No we do not make custom gowns or provide alterations 

• How long are appointments?

Bridal wear appointments are 1 hour, Bridesmaids appointments are only available for groups of bridesmaid larger than 3 and these are 1 hour, please contact us at info@houseofgowns.com.au if you wish to book a bridesmaid appointment

• What sizes are available?

Bridal Gowns are available in sizes 2-24*

Bridesmaid and Mother of Gowns are available in sizes 0-24*

*note not all gowns are available in store in every size 

• Do I need shoes?

Only if you have a special pair already chosen, shoes are not essential in the shopping phase

• What is the timeline for ordering a gown?

Currently our gowns take approximately 15+ weeks from date of order to arrive in store. Please note with current Aus Post hold ups the lead time on receiving your gowns can change at very short notice. We will keep you as informed as possible on the progress of your order

• What is the address for House of Gowns showroom?

We are in Croydon South in Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs

• Terms of sale for “off the rack” gowns and “sale” gowns

-       Payment required in full at time of purchase

-       Lay by or instore payment plans not available

-       Gowns must be collected at time of purchase, storage for gowns is not available  

-       Gowns eligible for exchange or store credit within 7 days of purchase

-       After 7 days all sales are final

-       Gowns are sold as is and we strongly recommend close inspection of the gown prior to purchase as all sales are final regardless of faults later discovered that were present at time of purchase
